MLM or multi level marketing has become one of the mainstays of American business. Almost every business has a form of MLM in its makeup




MLM or multi level marketing is the concept of having one company or product represented by many different people in a down line makeup. Or, more simply put it allows a company to sell directly to the consumer through a channel of representatives through referrals or direct sales techniques. It is one of the most effective business models in that it has many different channels through which participants can make money. There are a lot of reasons why MLM is so lucrative.

It all starts at the top of the chain in an MLM model. A company enlists the help of offsite representatives to talk to other people about the product or service and then get those people to not only become users of the product or service but also to market said product or service themselves. How it works is the people at the top get a piece of the action of those below them and so on. This is attractive to a lot of people because it works on the law of numbers the more people in your specific network the more money you can make through their efforts as well as yours.

MLM has proven itself to be an effective motivator for people to start their own businesses based on their association with the people above the in the distribution chain of a MLM based business. There are a lot of benefits to such a business. For instance, your time is your own you can do as much work as you want or as little depending on your goals. The theory is that if you build up your distribution channels long enough then you dont have to do anything but collect the commission checks. This is incentive to those who want to put in the effort for a set period of time and then relax to take in the rewards.

MLM has been thrown around a bit as far as a business model goes as Ponzi schemes have been exposed as illegitimate businesses. But, the truth is MLM is a legal and effective way of doing business. MLM is for anyone who wants to start a low cost business with the possibility of great monetary rewards. Not to mention time rewards.
