Two Success Principles Most MLM Leaders Fail to Teach Their Downline

Multi Level Marketing

Getting involved with an MLM opportunity has the incredible potential to completely change your life and allow all your dreams to come true. Your MLM team leader has told you exactly what to do to be successful and you can't wait to begin.

Financial success and time freedom are just some of the benefits you'll be reaping as soon as you create that all important MLM downline of enthusiastic sponsors happily sharing your product with hundreds if not thousands of people.

But your enthusiasm quickly dwindles as time goes by and you only recruit 2 people who haven't done a darn thing in the business.

In fact your closet is so full of products that they tumble out whenever the door opens. You cancel your auto ship, feel like you were taken advantage of from your MLM leader and vow to never get involved with one of those pyramid schemes again.

What went wrong? Why do 95% of all people fail with an MLM business opportunity?

I believe it's because most MLM leaders don't share the following key success principles with their downline. And it isn't the leaders fault because they are probably unaware of them also.

Principle #1: You must have marketing skills to be able to generate enough leads.

Marketing skills are the most important factor in business success and this includes every MLM business opportunity. I've often heard that your primary business is marketing and what ever else you do is secondary.

Are you a hair salon owner? Nope. You're a marketer who cuts hair.

Are you a Mona Vie rep? Nope. You're a marketer who introduces people to a healthy juice product.

You get the idea. If you want to be successful with your MLM business opportunity then you must learn marketing skills. Make it a priority. The great news is there is more marketing training now that ever before.

Don't rely on your MLM leader. Determine if you want to focus on internet marketing or off-line marketing and then begin learning and perfecting your craft. Your success depends on it.

Principle #2: You have to be ready to talk with a lot of people.

I know, most MLM leaders tell their new downline to make a list of everyone they know, call them up and present the business opportunity.

What happens when everyone is crossed off the list? That's where the marketing comes in. Effective marketing will give you an abundance of leads to talk to.

Yes, you need an abundance of leads to talk to. Plan on generating 10-30 leads every day. The super-successful generate 100 plus leads every day.

Most MLM leaders don't communicate this with their new people. If you know from the very beginning that an MLM business opportunity is a numbers game, then you're adequately prepared for what you need to do. The more people you talk to the quicker your success will arrive.

Simply decide how much you would like to earn with your MLM opportunity. Sit down with your MLM leader and strategically plan out how many people you will need to recruit into your downline to achieve your goals. Then figure that only 5% of the people you present to will sign up. This gives you an idea of how many leads you have to generate through your marketing efforts.
